Yet other pieces of software store their registration information inside the application bundle itself. Ask 5 different software developers where the best place to store registration information would be, and I'd be willing to bet that you get 5 completely different answers. What you're asking for would be a significant and huge, nearly impossible task, as there's really no telling how or where an application stores its registration information.
